Capital E

This week my class went to Capital E in Wellington. We went there to do 3D movie making and a news show. In the morning was the 3D movie making. We built a digital land and put things on it ( e.g. trees,water)
It was really fun. Then we had a lunch break and started our news show. We spent the first hour learning about our jobs. Mine was the technical producer. I had to type the credits, select backgrounds for the news story's order them and put them on the right camera at the right time. We filmed two shows. This is our final one.

Room 13 Epic news

It was a fast moving day with only fifteen minutes for lunch break. The people there were very helpful teaching every one their jobs on time. It was awesome!!!

Run Jump Throw Interschools

This week I went to the Run Jump Throw Interschools. Five kids from the age groups ( 10 year old boys, 10  year old girls). We did one event that we hadn't practised but it didn't matter because there were no scores.
My favourite event was the high jump. I did fairly well, getting a 3.

Grasshoppers Tennis

This Term we are doing Grasshoppers Tennis. Every week we have one session with our coach Jamie. It's really fun.

Helping Hands

Our Inquiry topic this term is helping hands. We are going to help a year 3/4 class in our school by teaching them about computers. Everone has a google account in our school but most of them don't know it! We'll be helping them with their accounts.

Run Jump Throw

For our sport we are doing Run Jump Throw. We rotate around long jump, high jump, sprints, vortex throwing, discus and shot put. When we have rotated around all of them, we do them all again over a day and the teachers pick a group of people to represent our age group. I hope I go!!
